Canada summer jobs internships

Mosqoy is seeking four interns for this summer. These internships are funded by the Federal Government of Canada through Canada Summer Jobs. The positions have been funded for 8-weeks, beginning on June 1, 2021 until July 30, 2021. To qualify for this funding, you must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Between the ages of 15-30

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status

Fundraiser:

The Fundraiser will be responsible for researching potential grant and fundraising opportunities and supporting the grant team in promising fundraising prospects. Other primary duties include planning for our annual giving campaign, writing reports and grant applications, and assisting us with operations, partnerships, and donor services. In relation to our annual giving campaign, we are seeking a student or youth to support in writing an impact report on the past two fundraising years, including data visualizations and breakdown of donors for previous years.

Youth Program Intern:

The Youth Program Intern will assist our Youth Program in building curriculum for our current cohort of students to build capacity in digital literacy, transitions to virtual learning, and adaptive learning for Indigenous youth. They will also assist in maintaining our existing partnerships, and support the establishment of meaningful, reciprocal connections. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

Peruvian Textiles Intern:

The Peruvian Textiles Intern will support our Mosqoy Peruvian Textiles by increasing the visibility and outreach to diverse audiences across Canada and the world. We are seeking a bilingual (English and French) individual who is an excellent communicator – both speaking and in writing – to be able to communicate our mission, and raise awareness about the socioeconomic justice issues that our organization seeks to address.

Virtual Workshop Assistant:

The Virtual Workshop Assistant will help Mosqoy increase the visibility and outreach of our virtual workshop series to diverse audiences across Canada and the world. We are seeking an individual who is an excellent communicator – both speaking and in writing – to be able to communicate our mission, and raise awareness about the socioeconomic justice issues that our organization seeks to address. They will also support the Canadian retail sales associated with the virtual workshop. 

MAnagerial positions
 

Field School Manager:

This exciting position will manage our Mosqoy Field School social enterprise, which offers socially

and environmentally responsible tours to travellers, as well as field schools to high-school and

university students, in the Andean mountains of Peru. We aim to be one of the first low-impact and

zero-waste tour agencies across Latin America. The goal of the position is to implement a long-term financially viable model for our Mosqoy Field School social enterprise, which increases revenue while offering consistent high-quality tours and field schools that are zero-waste, while aligning with Mosqoy’s values and supporting our partnering communities.
